Dear Colleagues,

As Chair of the 2024 Conference Task Force and President of AGORA Federation, I am delighted to extend a warm invitation to you all to join us in Malta on September 26-28, 2024, for the Annual AGORA Conference. This gathering will be the heartbeat of AGORA Federation as we come together to discuss and innovate.

Our conference will be held on-site, with all sessions recorded and made available on our conference website for on-demand viewing post-event.

This year, our focus will be on “Mental Health & Clinical Trials –  Different Facets for a Better Future”. We will delve into the critical integration of mental health considerations within clinical trials, recognizing the profound impact of mental well-being on overall patient outcomes. Our discussions will highlight innovative approaches and breakthroughs in mental health treatments currently under clinical investigation, aiming to provide comprehensive care that addresses both physical and psychological needs. Additionally, we will examine essential policy changes needed to support and advance mental health research, ensuring equitable access to care and fostering a supportive environment for all patients. By focusing on these different facets, we aspire to pave the way for a future where mental health is seamlessly integrated into the broader healthcare landscape, enhancing the quality of life for patients worldwide.

Our sessions promise to offer game-changing insights to build capability, spark inspiration, and generate momentum to prioritize innovations that positively impact the quality of life for patients and their caregivers.

AGORA incorporates 12 member countries with 17 member associations, representing over 25 million patients across Europe. At least one representative from each member association will participate and be reimbursed by AGORA. During our 2023 conference, we had 40 participants from 10 member associations across 9 countries. This year, we anticipate even greater participation, with all our members present.

We know that valuable partnerships will be formed at the 2024 AGORA Annual Conference.

You are all warmly welcomed to Malta to share your ideas and questions, and above all, to support our strategies aimed at reducing the impact of RMDs on those afflicted and improving their social position and quality of life.
